Portable Appliance Testing
Employer, Landlord, Letting Agent or Health and Safety Officer ?
As an Employer, Landlord or Letting Agent, you are responsible by law for preventing any harm coming to employees, customers and tenants when using electrical equipment provided for their use. If your working environment or property has any appliances with a mains voltage plug attached, for example: Computers, Monitors, Printers, Kettles, Microwaves, Fridges, Vacuum Cleaners, Cash Tills, etc then you will have a duty to comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
PAT testing is the best way you can fulfil this obligation. Failure to implement a programme of Portable Appliance Testing can also have insurance implications. Christopher James General Contractors Ltd specialise in providing the Inspection and Testing of Portable Electrical Appliances. Our main goal is to supply your company or organisation with a comprehensive and cost effective solution to comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
Whatever the size of your organisation we are able to test all your electrical appliances at very competitive prices. During testing, if we find dangerous plugs, incorrect fuses or identify equipment requiring minor repairs, we can do them for you.
We Can Help:
Once the testing is complete we will provide a professionally bound test report which will contain a copy of the test results, printed asset management register and a certificate of Electrical Safety. If you have never had a PAT test before you will find the asset manager register invaluable as it creates an audit trail of all the electrical equipment you have a duty to maintain.
Peace of Mind:
All our engineers are highly experienced and are qualified to City & Guilds PAT testing standards which gives you the peace of mind that a quality job will be carried out. In addition, our staff are always uniformed, smartly turned out and carry proper identification.
Don't be Caught Out:
“Electricity can kill ! Each year about 1000 accidents at work involving electric shock or burns are reported to the Health and Safety Executive. About 30 of these are fatal. Faulty electrical appliances and leads are the main cause of accidental fires in commercial buildings, representing over a quarter of all such fires”.
Special Offer:
During November-December 07 we will be offering testing of up to 50 appliances for £99*
